The Helmsman by Bill Baldwin.
I can’t say I wasn’t entertained, because I was. This audiobook has a cast of characters reading it and even a lot of sound effects.
Lt. Brim is the protagonist in this book, and he is basically a poor man’s Luke Skywalker. I was hoping to find a little more creative story than – poor miner boy becomes hero star pilot… kinda stale.
Also, the romance scenes in the book were way too descriptive and read like a romance book. Sci-fi romance scenes aren’t supposed to be like that. It was pretty gross.
I don’t feel like it was time wasted…like I said, I was entertained.
