A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future By Daniel H. Pink

A whole new mind: why right-brainers will rule the future is an audiobook by Daniel H. Pink. Long gone are the days when your parents encouraged you to be a doctor, lawyer, or engineer. These days are the times of people using the right side of their brain the side that uses much imagination. Right-brain users become designers, inventors, and authors who use there creative side.

Right-brain users are creative, imaginative and empathetic. Based on research from around the world the author Daniel Pink outlines for us six fundamentals that human beings need for professional success and personal fulfillment.

He also reveals the ways to master these fundamentals. From a comedy club in India to an inner city design school and even ways to know if someone is giving you a fake smile or a real smile it offers insight on right-brain thinkers. It offers a new in depth outlook on the way right-brainers are popping up everywhere. It replaces the logical tinker with a creative thinker and it brings a whole new outlook on the world around us. A world that you will see is changing from logic to creative.

Another fictional audiobook that deals with human experiences is Gut Feelings: The Intelligence of the Unconscious By Gerd Gigerenzer. Gigerenzer uses the research from the Max Planck Institute for Human Development to demonstrate how our gut feelings are the result of our unconscious mental processes. These mental processes are based on the fact that we have derived from both our environment and previous experiences.

They take into consideration the most useful tidbits of information instead of trying to decipher every possible factor. By examining decisions we make whether it be finding a partner in life, picking the winning lottery number, or deciding not to take a highway that you find out was backed up with traffic it shows how gut feelings lead to good logical decisions. They show the underlying effect on how the moral decisions we make effect the way our society functions.

Gigerenzer shows us how our gut feelings lead to ultimately good choices and attempts to prove to us the truth behind the saying your gut and intuition are never wrong. This book shows us how both nature and nurture teach us to know the answer in our gut and make the best choice when it comes to decision making. Gut feelings are often good choices and turn out to be the most logical choice.
